Hearty Rise Slow Jigging IV Travel Slow Pitch Rods
Slow pitch specific travel rods basically don't exist, so when Hearty Rise added a true 3-piece version of the Slow Jigging IV we had to bring them in. These break down to a 25.8" pack length, short enough to ride inside a duffel or a normal suitcase instead of a rod tube, and every rod comes with a fitted travel bag that holds all three sections. If you've ever tried to fly with a one piece jigging rod you know exactly why that matters.
The blank is the same recipe as the one piece Slow Jigging IVs: Toray's T1100G high-density nanocarbon combined with M40X high modulus fiber on Hearty Rise's NET-V III construction, with a full four-axis outer wrap that keeps the blank from twisting or wobbling while you work a jig. Guides are Fuji's latest titanium frame Torzite rings, which cut weight out of the top half of the rod and are about as friction-free as guides get. The ergonomic handle shape stays comfortable over a full day of jigging, and despite the two extra ferrules these actually come in lighter than the equivalent one piece models (175-194g versus 196-218g).
Unlike the one piece lineup, all three powers share the same 5'8" length, so you're choosing purely by jig weight and line: Power #1 tops out at 340g on PE2.5, #2 at 500g on PE3, and #3 at 800g on PE4. Full specs for each model are in the table below.
