Daiwa Saltiga Frother 170F Popper

The Saltiga Frother is Daiwa's take on a chugging popper for apex predators, a 170mm topwater built around a wide, cupped face that throws a heavy trail of bubbles and whitewater on every sweep. Worked with long, powerful pulls of the rod, it spits, pops, and gurgles like a panicked baitfish, calling tuna, yellowtail, roosterfish, and GTs up from deep to eat on top.

Under the paint it's built to survive that fight: full wire-through construction ties the nose loop, belly hanger, and tail loop into one continuous backbone, so there's no hardware to pull out when a big fish loads up. The body floats nose-down at rest and stands back up between pops, ready for the next sweep.

Best of all, it comes rigged and ready to fish straight out of the package with quality BKK hooks, a 3/0 BKK treble on the belly and a 7/0 BKK inline single on the tail. (Our product photos show the bare body, but every Frother ships hooked.) We stock six of the Frother's colors, from clear and natural baitfish finishes to the high-visibility Firefish.
