Avet SX G2 5.3 Single Speed Reels

The SX G2 5.3 is the more versatile half of Avet's small pair. The standard spool holds 400 yards of 50 lb against the SXJ's 290, and more line is what versatility means at this size. One gear at 5.3:1, set-and-forget, for 15-40 lb live bait and bottom fishing. Shorter and wider than the SXJ on the same internals: easier to palm, a little more to do keeping the wrap level. A favorite for fluke back east and for live-bait albacore from NorCal up through Oregon and Washington.
