Avet MXJ 5.8 MC Star Drag Reels

The MXJ MC star drag is the narrow set-and-forget reel with a magnet doing a job no spool tensioner can. The spool floats free with no shaft running through the frame, so there is nothing to tension. The magnet is your cast adjustment.

The side knob only sets spool end play. It is not a cast control. That one sentence is the most useful thing on this page, and it is the call we field most often after the sale.
