Varivas Avani Casting PE X8 Shore Master Braid
Built for casting off the sand and rocks, the Varivas Avani Casting PE Shore Master X8 is an 8-strand braid that's great for Southern California shore fishing, reaching the boils and tide lines beyond the break and standing up to the abrasion that comes with surf, jetty, and rock work. It’s a fit for what you throw from the beach: halibut, calico and sand bass, and pelagics like bonito and yellowtail when they push within range.
The line is built on Varivas’s Max Power PE (MAX-PE) fiber, a high-strength 8-carrier braid the manufacturer rates at roughly 1.3-1.5× the tensile strength of standard PE. That margin buys confidence when an unexpected fish loads the rod at distance, and a round, tightly woven profile keeps the line thin for its rating and quiet through the guides.
A water-repellent surface coating gives the braid a slick, silk-smooth finish that cuts guide friction for longer casts (the difference in those “just a few more yards” moments), while shedding water and adding abrasion resistance for repeated full casts. The high-visibility white stays easy to track in any light, so you can follow your lure’s path and trace structure tight.
