These rods have a softer tip to make casting lures easier while still maintaining enough backbone for the biggest GT, yellowfin and bluefin. The 76 Model is a PE12 ~200g casting weight rod which is about as big as it gets, it’s hard enough finding lures in that size without spending $150 on handmade wood poppers.
