Nomad Design MadScad 180 Auto Tune Sinking Stickbaits

The MadScad 180 Auto Tune is the heavy hitter of Nomad Design's new casting MadScads: 7 inches and 5 oz, rigged with BKK Diablo 5X 11/0 single hooks for big predators, heavy tackle, and rough conditions.

Like the rest of the range, it swims off Nomad's Auto Tune tow point. The nose has room to move, so the lure settles into a wide, rolling S-swim below the surface without much help from the rod. The action corrects itself at speed, so you can burn it on a high-speed spinning reel without it skipping out.

Cast It or Troll It

Five ounces gives it the weight to reach busting fish on heavy casting gear, and it is also built to troll at 2 to 6 knots, so one lure covers both jobs on a day chasing tuna and other large pelagics. The heavy-duty build and BKK hardware are made for fish that punish lighter lures.
