Basstrix SurfTrix 125 Jerk Baits

Basstrix built the SurfTrix 125 for exactly the water we fish: the Southern California surf and inshore zone. It's a 125mm (4.9"), 5/8 oz floating jerkbait that casts a mile off the sand and swims with a tight body roll and subtle shimmy, the lifelike, twitch-and-pause action that draws strikes in clear or stained water.

An internal weight-transfer system slides weight to the tail on the cast for real distance, then shifts forward to balance the bait through the retrieve. It dives 1-3 feet, holding right in the strike zone where surf perch, halibut, and corbina feed.

The detail that sets it apart: two premium Owner® saltwater hooks instead of the usual three. Fewer hooks means fewer casting tangles and less leverage for a thrashing fish to throw the bait, without giving up hookups.
